Cheltenham Borough Council
We have worked for many years with Cheltenham Borough Council in the promotions of their waste and recycling activities. Cheltenham BC were also one of the original partners in the Gloucestershire Waste Campaign which we ran for a number of years using landfill tax credit funding.
We have carried out an extensive range of work, including:
- Survey of all flats and houses in multiple occupation, which make up almost 20% of all households in the borough, for the introduction of recycling services
- Waste minimisation strategy
- Introduction of garden waste and new plastics and cardboard collections
- Trade waste recycling
- Day to day promotions and information for recycling services
Below is just a small selection of our work:
Service guides
When introducing new recycling services to flats, guides such as this were mailed out.
Service guide leaflet and introduction of new collections from flats
Along with other targeted promotional material, they helped to ensure that the new services were clearly communicated and were a success from the outset.
4 page collection calendar
Just one of the many collection calendars we have produced. They correspond to residents individual collection rounds and were delivered to their doors.
6 page HWRC and recycling guide
A six page HWRC and recycling guide which was delivered to all households.
Vehicle Livery
To utilise the free advertising space on the sides of refuse vehicles we have designed a large range of livery. This has included product photography and removal or manipulation of branding.
Recycling collection vehicle livery
Another format for the advertising of light card collections
Each design was modified to fit many different formats across a range of vehicles.
Commercial recycling
In addition to targeting householders, commercial waste recycling has also been introduced and promoted across the borough. This includes both glass and cardboard recycling.
