“Where does the plastic…” campaign

Plastics recycling campaign transformations leaflet

Trying to communicate the benefits of recycling in a fun and original way is tricky. For this reason we are all very pleased here with our latest plastics campaign for Shropshire Council. Funded by WRAP the campaign built on our previous work on the BCME and Shropshire can campaign, transforming recyclables into desirable products.

Taking into account the different plastics, we photographed a range of bottles and desirable products they could turn into. Using our own in house photographers and designers meant that we could guarantee that the images would be consistently lit, photographed at matching angles, retouched to a high level, would fit perfectly in both dimensions and colour and were coordinated to integrate with the design.

Two transformation leaflets in the style of the BCME and Shropshire can campaign were sent out to over 27,000 households. These arrived folded closed with the fronts showing complete bottles. These then opened out to reveal the bottles transforming into a range of desirable items.

We are currently creating a range of plastic recycling templates based on this campaign for WRAP.  This will include: two leaflets, newspaper advertising, billboards, posters and vehicle live.
